Save the date : Nordic NCL Conference 2026
1 to 3 December
Malmö, Sweden

Thank you for participating in 2025 - see you in 2026 ?

The Nordic NCL Conference is the only event in Europe that brings together families, clinicians, researchers, therapists, educators, and international experts working across all forms of Neuronal Ceroid Lipofuscinosis (NCL/Batten disease) — a group of ultra-rare neurodegenerative disorders that cause childhood dementia.

The conference provides a unique Nordic platform for cross-disciplinary knowledge exchange, collaboration, and community building. No other European forum offers this dedicated, NCL-focused environment.

Thank you to all participants on the 2025 conference - we hope to see you all again in 2026.

Since its launch in 2022, the conference has grown from 22 participants to 108 in 2025. The 2026 conference is expected to welcome around 120 participants from across the Nordic countries, alongside selected international specialists.

The conference is organized entirely by parent volunteers through NCL Denmark. No organizers or speakers receive honoraria, and many experts participate at their own expense to strengthen Nordic collaboration in this rare field. This model keeps participation affordable for families while maintaining a strong scientific and clinical program.

All partnership tiers include conference fee and 2 hotel nights for the number of representatives indicated.
